Six Reasons To Hit Up Happy Hour--Alone!

Blog

Happy hour has a reputation for being a group activity. People meet up with friends after a day at work and hit up the neighborhood bar or head out with coworkers. No one goes to happy hour alone…or do they? Here are six reasons why you shouldn't miss out on the awesome happy hour deals just because you are flying solo.

  1. There is a certain amount of anonymity when you are alone. Unless you live in a small town, no one will know who you are. You can be whoever you want to be!
  2. Everyone needs to practice self-care. Maybe it's been a stressful day at work, or maybe you just haven't done anything for yourself with the demands of work and family life. Heading out for some alone time while you refuel is actually good for your mental health! You may want to read a book, write, or just observe other people and your surroundings. This time is all about you.
  3. Planning group activities can be exhausting, and coming up with a location is always going to leave someone resentful. When you head out to snag some awesome happy hour specials on your own, you can pick where you go and how long you stay! Dining and drinking solo allows you to try places you want to go to.
  4. When you dine alone, you are more likely to appreciate your surroundings. Instead of concentrating on socializing, you can enjoy what you are eating and drinking.
  5. You will gain confidence! It may feel awkward and strange to be at a bar or restaurant by yourself. However, no one is paying attention to you. Think back to when you last went out with friends and family. Did you notice who was alone and who was with a group of people? Chances are, you didn't. This task may be a difficult hurdle, but once you do it a couple of times, you will feel very empowered.
  6. Some people may cherish the alone time that comes with solo drinking and dining. Others may take advantage of meeting new people. Being alone may give you more opportunities to chat up other patrons.

Happy hour specials are typically incredible deals on delicious food and beverages. These specials aren't reserved for groups of people. Whether you are an introvert that needs time to recharge on your own or a person who is looking to meet new friends, checking out happy hour solo is not something to be afraid of. It is something you should try!

Understanding Restaurant Challenges

There are a lot of different things that can set your restaurant back financially, but one of the biggest problems is issues with food sourcing. I used to source different ingredients from a bunch of local distributors until I realized that I could save a lot of money by working with national food suppliers. I want other people to realize how to resolve some of the most common restaurant ownership challenges, which is why I decided to focus on this blog. Check out these posts to learn more about how to run your restaurant, how to handle difficulties, and how to make your business more profitable than ever before.
